Yeah we know, it has been a long time... Heck, Ken and I went to PAB 2010, did our panel with the Dude and Tom and never talked about it. Suffice it to say, that was fun.
Anyway, we are back, and when we decided to get back into the podcasting scene we needed a topic. Robin mentioned to Ken and I that there was a guy that got in a lot of trouble for posting on twitter that he was going to blow up an airport. This has lead to a grass roots campaign in support of him (not in support of airport bombing, in support of the guy...)
This story lead us into talking about various things, including the echo chamber of social media, the effects that changes in communication type have had on communication, and of course, the holodeck on Star Trek...
We hope you like the show, and we are glad to be back.

Jesus Dave - this episode is scaring the hell out of me! I seem to be breaking every 'shouldn't do' you're talking about outside of yelling 'Fire!' Fortunately my podcast listening audience is a select group and I probably don't have to worry too much.
That aside, its good to have your show back again - maybe up the frequency now eh.
Well Dude, I have never heard you say anything threatening. Perhaps threatening the norm, but not individuals! (Besides, what the hell do we know.....).
Yeah we will get back into the swing of things for sure.
Excellent show as usual, guys! My only comment this time would be that you need do this more often.
Hey slacker. Its about time you brought out some new material. Thanks for this break in my day
Right. Well...
1. Sorry it's taken so long to hammer back, but I didn't know a new podcast came out.
2. It's been my experience that you can get away with a lot if your joke is funny. Threatening to blow up an airport, even in the country that gave us Eddie Izzard, Mr. Bean, Peter Sellers, and Monty Python; [piss-off]Not funny[/piss-off].
3. The whole Wikileaks thing has blown up since this last 'cast, and the US seems okay with running large portions of our Constitution through the wood-chipper. Including Sen. Leiberman, who seems just fine with the finger-pointing of 'terrorist' label, when zero physical damage has been done.
4. Thank Odin, the Flying Spaghetti Monster, or [your favored deity here] that Canada isn't as screwed-up as the USA is working hard at becoming.
Jim, yeah, I mean joke or not, you don't make such statements I figure.
Yeah wikileaks will be our next show, after the holidays, We kept trying to get together but it did not work out. The library boys are pretty busy, and I just finished marking papers.... I am amazed after the grading that I can actually put together an English sentence...
